Ambengan

This is an interior fitting for a one-bedroom apartment project in Denpasar which is the city centre of Bali. The targeted audiences are young executives, office workers, couples and singles, the design goal is to provide a space where they can relax and unwind after a busy work day.

The main material used of the space is local teak wood, the rest of the space is with simple, bright cream white colour tone. The sofa is not a conventional loose piece of furniture, instead, it is a wall mounted bench which was inspired by cafés. Using a bench instead of loose sofa can also maximise the space between TV and sofa, allowing lots of natural sunlight penetrates through the space.

A small platform area is created near to the living room windows, where the residents can chill with their friends there, or play guitars, etc. Such small platforms can bring out different activities there.
