Parkside Villa
This residence design is characterized by simplicity and elegance, incorporating the light industrial style and minimalistic elements. Black lines and metal strips serve as contrasts against a light wood tone base, creating an industrial feel. Gray elements on the TV cabinet wall provide continuity throughout the dining and living area, extending to the adjacent feature wall, the beam behind the sofa, and the blinds in the sister's room, adding a sense of layering to space.
The long corridor leading to the entrance is brightened up with a black-framed glass sliding door that brings in natural light and complements the light industrial style. A black magnetic board installed next to the door allows the homeowners to leave messages for their family when leaving.
The dining and living area is a long and deep space, which led to the partitioning of part of it into a sister's room and storage cabinets that connect to the shoe cabinet in the entrance, creating a sense of unity and flow. The shoe cabinet is made of light wood elements, which extend into the living room, and the corner is rounded to enhance the flow of space.
To unify the space and make it more spacious, a hidden door was added to the corridor connecting the dining and living area to the bedroom.
By breaking the fixed space of the traditional dining and living area, the design creates an independent dining and living space. The TV cabinet extends from the dining to the living area, creating a blurred boundary. The dining table and chairs can be folded and fully stored in the adjacent storage cabinet, which extends the living area to the original dining area and provides ample space for children's activities.
