Kitchen spaces in Hong Kong are generally small, and this residence is no exception. The kitchen's countertop space was insufficient, which did not meet the needs of the homeowners who enjoy cooking. Therefore, the primary focus of the space planning was on the kitchen, changing the L-shaped kitchen into a U-shaped one, instantly increasing the countertop space and making cooking more convenient. Storage space was also added underneath the countertop. Glass partitions were installed on the countertop, with a corner glass connecting to the glass sliding door leading in and out of the kitchen. This greatly improves the transparency of the kitchen, enhances the spatial sense and lighting of the dining and living areas, and allows the homeowner to interact with family members while cooking.
In terms of color tone, the design is mainly fresh and white, with light gray as an accent to highlight the living room. White, light gray, light wood, and black-framed glass in the kitchen add a sense of layering to the space.
